Using Smart office connect

Overview

While most customers work with Kandy using any of the supported desk phone models, it is possible to connect with the Kandy network using a softphone instead. Smart Office Connect is the softphone bundled with Kandy for this purpose. 

Smart Office Connect is a softphone that is bundled with Kandy UCaaS and can be downloaded by all subscribers directly from the end-user KBS Portal. It comes preconfigured to work with Kandy and requires minimal configuration to be used

 

Solution

If you have an end-user account, setting up Smart Office Connect with Kandy is very simple:

  1. Log into the end-user Kandy Portal (like https://eup-na.kandy.io/index.html) using your subscriber's credentials (user@domain)
  2. Head to Account > Service Settings > Client.
  3. Under Download Desktop Clients, select the client corresponding to your system:
  4. Execute the file and follow the instructions to install the Smart Office Connect on your system.
  5. Log in using the subscriber's credentials used in step 1.

 Testing

After logging in, Smart Office Connect will download the required data to work with the specific subscriber, and you will be able to make and receive calls using the PSTN DIDs associated with the subscriber in the KBS Portal.
