Overview
Some users have reported an issue where the Yealink Busy Lamp Field (BLF) remains green constantly. This can be confusing as the green light is typically indicative of the monitored user being idle.
Solution
By default, Yealink will keep the light green when the monitored user is idle. If the monitored user receives a call and it rings, the light will blink red. If the call is answered, the light will turn solid red. Once the monitored user is idle again, the light will return to solid green. This is the standard behavior of the Yealink BLF and is not indicative of a problem or malfunction.
Example
In the below picture, Lori, Randall, Phillip and Arthur are available, while Michael is on the phone.
Summary
The constant green light on the Yealink BLF is a default setting indicating that the monitored user is idle. It will change to blinking red when a call is received and solid red when a call is answered. It will return to green when the user is idle again.
